Essex Estuary Radio
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Essex Estuary Radio, a brand-new online station, has officially launched, bringing listeners across Essex and beyond a mix of feel-good music, local stories, and interactive shows designed to put the community at the heart of the broadcast.
Broadcasting 24/7, Essex Estuary Radio features a carefully curated playlist spanning five decades of party pop, from the 70s through to today’s chart hits. The station promises a soundtrack that reflects the energy and spirit of Essex — fun, upbeat, and never predictable. Alongside the music, the schedule includes specialist shows, news updates, and interactive features that ensure listeners are always part of the conversation.
Founder and station host, Alfie Galley, said:
“Essex has always had a big voice, and now it has a station to match. We’re here to celebrate the best of local life — from music and entertainment to the stories that matter in our towns and communities. Essex Estuary Radio is about giving people something fresh, something fun, and something that feels like home.”
Listeners can look forward to a variety of programmes including breakfast and drive-time shows to kickstart and wind down the day, evening specials highlighting new music, and weekend beats to keep the party going. Local features such as event coverage, interviews with Essex talent, and audience shout-outs will give the station a strong community focus.
Essex Estuary Radio is also looking to play an active role in the region by supporting local businesses through sponsorship opportunities and giving a platform to up-and-coming musicians, DJs, and community voices.
The station is streaming live online at https://essexestuaryradio.co.uk, and is available on smart speakers, mobile, and desktop. Listeners can send in requests, take part in competitions, and connect with the team on social media.
Looking ahead, Essex Estuary Radio has ambitious plans to expand into a wider “Estuary Media” network, with future sister stations already in the works — including dedicated channels for hits, talk, sport, and more.
Alfie added:
“This is just the start. Our goal is to make Essex Estuary Radio the voice of the estuary, a station people trust, enjoy, and feel connected to. We want to grow alongside our listeners, bringing them even more choice and even bigger ways to be part of the station.”
